Spinner Subham Nayak makes U-19 international debut

Odisha off-spinner Subham Nayak made his international debut on a modest note in the Under-19 Triangual Series at Jadavpur University Campus, Kolkata today. India beat Afghanistan in this match by 33 runs to register their second straight win.

Coming to bat at No 11 position, Nayak remained unbeaten on two, which came off three balls. He later took one wicket for 25 runs in his seven-over spell, which included one maiden. The first international victim for Nayak was Muslim Musa, who fell after giving a catch to Rahul Batham.

BRIEF SCORE: India 236 all out in 50 overs (Rishabh Panth 87, M Lomror 43, Ricky Bhui 27, A Khare 24; Rashid Arman 4/47, Muslim Musa 2/32) beat Afghanistan 203 all out in 47.3 overs (Rashid Arman 43, Mohammad Sardar 33, Muslim Musa 27, Ihasanullah 25; S Ahmed 4/41, M Lomror 2/31, P Pramanik 2/34) by 33 runs.
